A Deviantart conversation

"You used ****ing bases."
"Duh, its just a color guide -.-"
"And she didn't credit."
"You got a problem with that?

Maybe she didnt want to spend her time working on a reference sheet. Almost all references use bases"
"The problem is she didn't credit them."
"Okay..? I dont credit most bases because I dont get them off deviantart"
"Then that's considered theft. Deviantart or not the bases need to be credit for the basemakers hard work. they're not there for you to juse 'use' without akgnowledging the basemakers existance."
"Well some people can't credit the basemakers because they don't know who it is!"
"well then don't use the base, duh.
If you can't properly credit the base then it shouldn't be used from the way you found it."
"I can do what I want with bases, even if I can't credit the maker"
"Um, no, no you can't. It's considered art theft here on Deviantart. If people find out about it you can end up in serious trouble."
This is why mature people think before they act.
